As we are approaching the end of another year, I wanted to say a huge thank you for all the women and organisations that sought my help and advice.

What Bourne2care has achieved and introduced in 2024. • It’s increasing difficult to get appointments with your healthcare providers therefore we thought we’d help. We are arranging more blood tests for men and women. If you are waiting for blood tests, why not contact us and we will arrange them for you.

• In January I was able to prescribe Fezolinetant a non-hormonal medication to reduce hot flushes and night sweats. It’s a new medication and the ladies I have prescribed it for report amazing results. A significant reduction in their symptoms that have really improved their quality of life. It is only available privately. If you’d like to know more, please get in touch.

• I’ve been writing and delivering training to many NHS Professionals, most based within the Midlands. I’ve been teaching GP’s, pharmacists, advanced nurse practitioners and Physicians Associates on the Menopause and how to safely prescribe HRT.

• I’ve continued to teach the staff of Worcester Acute NHS Trust on all aspects of Menopause. I’ve delivered over 2 years of training which will continue into 2025. Supporting local colleagues is incredibly important to me.

• More and more women are being prescribed Testosterone. Most women see improvements in their brain fog, cognition, energy and sense of wellbeing as well increased libido. Unfortunately, we are still only able to prescribe Testosterone for low libido and desire. However, I rarely meet any menopausal women who doesn’t! Testosterone can and is a game changer for many women. If you are wondering if Testosterone might help you; please get in touch.

• I’ve completed all my menopause courses through the British Menopause Society and there was 1 course left to undertake. After waiting around 5 years to find a mentor I started my Advance Practice Certificate in January. I have 1 piece left to write then I will have completed this!! I didn’t need this course to practice but I think it’s important to be as highly qualified as possible. Fingers crossed by the end of 2024 I will have completed it. I’ll let you know in January 2025 all about it!

I’d like to say a massive thank you to Rachel and Helen who without their help I wouldn’t be able to run Bourne2Care. There is only one thing left to say and that is Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. www.bourne2care.co.uk Love and Best Wishes Diane. x
